Requirements
  • Eligible candidates must hold a PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience is required in modeling and simulation of missile systems dynamics, including components such as actuators and sensors under normal and abnormal operational conditions and with artificial intelligence techniques for aerospace engineering applications.
  • Other requirements include a strong background and research experience in modeling, simulation, and control of autonomous flight vehicles.
  • A significant publication record on modeling, simulation, and analysis of missiles and other autonomous flight vehicles.
  • Ability to work on multiple teams, large projects, with good communication skills, writing of progress reports, and documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Development of flight vehicles and subsystems mathematical models and integration within a comprehensive simulation environment.
  • Performance of simulation tests and analyzes.
  • Writing reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Dissemination of research results through technical publications.
  • Interaction with collaborating teams.
  • Limited travel to technical meetings organized by the sponsor and/or to technical conferences may be needed.
  • Departmental support teaching engineering courses may also be needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to teach engineering undergraduate courses is a plus.
